China News Agency reporter Zhang Qin
"Pay attention to rhythm control and increase interaction with students." Recently, the reporter visited Lihan Education Group, a Taiwanese funded enterprise located in Dongxihu District, Wuhan. General Manager Wang Xiangyu was providing training for newly hired teachers.
"Meteorology Little Soldier", "Physics Grand View Park", "Long March Water Rocket", "Electric Magnet King"... Walking into the company's exhibition area, there are a variety of teaching aids and models such as rockets, airplanes, cars, planets, etc. The brightly colored blackboard design, combined with vivid explanations from the teacher, makes the originally serious scientific principles instantly lively and interesting.

Since the headquarters of Lihan Education Group settled in Wuhan in 2015, this small team, originally less than 10 people, has grown into a professional youth science popularization education unit with over 200 employees and established cooperative relationships with more than 2800 kindergartens and primary and secondary schools in 62 cities in mainland China. Wang Xiangyu not only realized his dream of "sowing the seeds of science", but also achieved a career.
Wang Xiangyu, who is 38 years old this year, was born in Taipei. In 2012, he came to mainland China with Wu Zhirong, the founder of Lihan Education Group. "After inspecting several cities, we ultimately chose Wuhan." Recalling the early days of entrepreneurship, Wang Xiangyu said that this place not only had convenient transportation and developed logistics, but also abundant educational resources. However, what moved them the most was the enthusiastic help from local Taiwan Affairs Office and other departments.

As a newcomer, the team settled in the national cross-strait youth entrepreneurship base located in Dongxihu District. "Rent is fully waived, materials and licenses are provided for the base to handle, and we are assisted in connecting with the education department and relevant financial institutions." Wang Xiangyu still feels excited about the initial service support.
The team gradually adapted to the new environment and began to benchmark the mainland curriculum standards and improve the science popularization teaching plan. Wang Xiangyu, who started as a lecturer, has gained some insights into science education. "We want to do 'fun' science, which is to let children participate in experiments in a relaxed atmosphere, experience the fun of science, and break the distance of teaching."
Wang Xiangyu told reporters that thanks to the mainland's emphasis on science education for young people in recent years, the Lihan team, which follows the school science popularization route, has encountered many development opportunities. During this period, Lihan led more than 140 Taiwanese youth to join the team. At the same time, actively invest in public welfare education and provide free scientific open courses for schools in remote areas.
In addition to work, Wang Xiangyu, as a member of the Wuhan Youth Federation, is also committed to bridging the gap for Taiwanese youth to start businesses and find employment in Wuhan. "I hope to share some experiences with the Taiwanese youth as someone who has been here before." In Wang Xiangyu's view, becoming a "guide" for Taiwanese youth to develop in mainland China is quite meaningful.
For Wang Xiangyu, Wuhan, which has achieved his dreams, has become his "second hometown". "If you want to develop in mainland China, you can first integrate yourself into the local environment and market, familiarize yourself with the local environment, and then decide on the direction of entrepreneurship." Wang Xiangyu said that for Taiwanese youth who hope to showcase their talents in mainland China, Wuhan, a city full of vitality and unlimited opportunities, will be a good choice.
