She hoped to take this opportunity to contribute her own strength to the cultural publicity of the Chengdu Universiade and to the in-depth communication and exchange of youth across the Taiwan Straits. This time, she was very moved to see Chinese Taipei university student athletes come to the mainland to win honor for their hometown.
Lin Ziyou told Global Times reporters that she was named one of the first "Citizen Promotion Ambassadors" for the Chengdu Universiade last year. "I started my own business in Chengdu, focusing on the cultural and educational sector. We have collaborated with the Jinniu District Street Office in Chengdu to integrate cross-strait cultural and educational activities into an activity center. Everyone thought that I had good conditions in all aspects, so they recommended me. In fact, before participating in the promotion ambassador selection, I was already working on promoting the Universiade to community residents." Lin Ziyou said, "I believe that competitions are not just for college students, but should be something that we all need to 'take action' in Chengdu."
Lin Ziyou told Global Times reporters that more than 30000 Chengdu citizens participated in the selection of citizen promotion ambassadors, and many Taiwanese youth living in Chengdu signed up enthusiastically. Only 100 people were ultimately selected, and the competition was fierce. Since being elected as the Citizen Promotion Ambassador for the Chengdu Universiade at the end of March 2022, Lin Ziyou has participated in nearly 20 promotional activities, big and small. In addition, Lin Ziyou also pays special attention to incorporating cross-strait elements into promotional activities.
This year is Lin Ziyou's eighth year in mainland China. When asked why she chose to start a business in Chengdu, Lin Ziyou said that on the one hand, she likes the city of Chengdu. While accepting herself, she also provides a leisurely life service; On the other hand, Chengdu, a historic city, has a profound cultural heritage, and its people can quickly accept new things, which is very suitable for her entrepreneurial conditions. Lin Ziyou also stated that she has received "unconditional" support from her family and friends in Taiwan for starting a business in mainland China.
