Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council: Taiwan authorities should lift the unreasonable ban on Taiwan compatriots visiting the mainland as soon as possible
Today, the Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council held a regular press conference. A reporter asked: Nine provinces in mainland China, including Fujian, are planning to participate in the Taipei Summer Travel Expo in the near future. May I ask if this can be interpreted as signaling the resumption of tourism on both sides of the Taiwan Strait?
Spokesperson Zhu Fenglian pointed out that we support the cross-strait tourism industry to strengthen exchanges and cooperation, and warmly welcome Taiwanese compatriots to come to the mainland for tourism and sightseeing. It is understood that tourism industry professionals from 9 provinces in mainland China will be invited to Taiwan to participate in the Taipei Summer Tourism Exhibition on July 14th. Through their participation in the exhibition, Taiwanese compatriots can see the new development trend of mainland tourism under the new situation, and learn more about new tourism products and routes.
