Beijing, July 19th (Xinhua News Agency) Question: Check in through practice and sweat in performance

Standardize all kinds of government apps, reduce unnecessary clock-in, and rectify the excessive traces of the work group ...... With the study and implementation of Xi Jinping's new era of socialism with Chinese characteristics, the theme of education is being carried out solidly by the whole party, all localities and units will rectify formalism, reduce the burden for the grassroots as an important content, guide the grassroots cadres to clock in practice, sweat in the performance, welcomed by the cadres and the masses.
The formalization of clocking in and leaving marks has been a long-standing trend. Especially with the development of mobile Internet technology, this problem once moved from "desk" to "finger tip", from "paper-based" to "digital", and new trends such as "finger tip formalism" and "digital formalism" appeared. There are too many and too many local government affairs apps, and the registration rate is assessed in the form of clocking in, which makes grassroots cadres tired of dealing with. roast such as "all the screens are apps", "specially assigned persons are responsible for swiping points and filling in data" are heard endlessly; Some units require leaving marks on everything, and the problem of excessive marks on work locations, work process photos, meeting process records, and post reporting materials has caused unbearable suffering at the grassroots level; Some units have problems such as "mechanical rectification" and "coping rectification". They have been constantly changing and innovating the problems, with fewer clocking in and leaving traces on government apps. However, there are more "climbing" style announcements, replies, and reposts in work groups such as WeChat and DingTalk... For a period of time, formalism has become a new burden on the grassroots through fingertip and digitization.
The 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China clearly proposed to continuously deepen the rectification of the "Four Winds", with a focus on rectifying formalism and bureaucracy. We must be more resolute in strengthening our work style construction, by deepening and expanding the rectification of formalism to reduce the burden on the grassroots, continuously motivating Party members and cadres to actively take on responsibilities, dare to be good at struggle, further strengthen the flesh and blood connection between the Party and the people, and provide strong work style guarantees for promoting the historical great cause of building a strong country and rejuvenating the nation.
It is a good thing to fully utilize information network technology to improve work efficiency and management efficiency, but if a good thing cannot be done well and even increases the burden on grassroots, it requires careful reflection. The problem with checking in on apps and leaving traces in work groups is not with the apps and work groups themselves, but with the people who use these tools to carry out management work. The transition from "good form" to "formalization" reflects the lazy and negligent thinking of some management departments and leading cadres. Fundamentally, it is formalism and bureaucracy that have caused deviations in their views on political achievements.
Various regions, departments, and units should regard the rectification of formalism and the reduction of burden on grassroots as important content of theme education, continuously enhance their sense of urgency and political consciousness. In theoretical learning, investigation and research, promotion of development, and inspection and rectification, the rectification and avoidance of formalism and bureaucracy should be placed in a more prominent position. We should continue to promote the improvement of party, political, and social conduct, and demonstrate the effectiveness of theme education through the results of rectification. We should guide cadres at all levels to establish a correct view of political achievements, effectively correct the deviation of valuing "scars" over "achievements", leaving "traces" but not leaving "hearts", adhere to seeking truth and pragmatism, and not focus on making empty promises. We must resolutely eliminate "traffic based political achievements" and "digital demonstrations", more "face-to-face" and less "screen to screen", adhere to effect oriented and result oriented, and truly use solid work achievements and the good reputation of the people to examine and test our work effectiveness.
