Surprisingly, Canada's statement
According to Reuters on September 1st, Canada unexpectedly announced on September 1st that it has suspended negotiations with India on the proposed trade treaty, and less than three months ago, the two countries claimed to plan to sign a preliminary agreement this year.
Canada and India have been intermittently negotiating a comprehensive economic partnership agreement since 2010. The negotiation work officially resumed last year.
