According to a report by EFE on July 26th, Brazilian President Lula went to a hospital in Brasilia on July 26th and received treatment for the second time in less than a week to alleviate pain in the hip joint. According to official sources, Lula will undergo hip surgery in October this year.
Sources from the Brazilian Presidential Office stated that the President went to the hospital for treatment on the same day.
At the age of 77, Lula received local analgesic treatment at a hospital in S ã o Paulo on the 23rd and continued to travel to Brasilia to complete her work schedule. But on the 24th, he felt even stronger discomfort again.
Lula said in a weekly broadcast on social media the day before that the pain was so intense that he was in a "bad mood" and "nervous" state every day, which is why he decided to undergo surgery in October.
He said, "I don't want to continue suffering... I don't want to be a boring person who no one wants to talk to."
Lula once explained on the program "Dialogue with the President" that the pain originates from femoral head problems caused by osteoarthritis.
He said, "This problem has been bothering me for a long time."
Lula officially took office as President on January 1st this year, beginning her third term since taking office from 2003 to 2010. Since taking office, he has had a tense international agenda, visiting multiple European countries as well as countries such as the United States, China, Colombia, Argentina, and Uruguay.
