Affected by "Sula", it is expected that from noon on August 30th to noon on August 31st, there will be 7 to 11 meters of rough waves in the Bashi Strait and the northeast part of the South China Sea, reaching the rough wave zone. The Central Meteorological Administration issued an orange typhoon warning at 10:00 on August 30th: The center of Typhoon Sula, the 9th typhoon of this year, was located on the sea surface about 580 kilometers southeast of Huilai, Guangdong at 9:00 am on August 30th. The maximum wind force near the center was above 17.
It is expected that "Sula" will move northwest at a speed of 10-15 kilometers per hour, and gradually move into the northeast sea surface of the South China Sea on the night of the 30th or early morning of the 31st, gradually approaching the coastal areas of eastern Guangdong to southern Fujian. It is possible to land on the aforementioned coastal areas during the day of September 1st, or it may move towards the southwest direction in the nearshore sea surface of eastern Guangdong.
Affected by "Sula", from 14:00 on August 30th to 14:00 on August 31st, there will be strong winds of 6-8 levels and gusts of 9-10 levels in the Bashi Strait, northeastern South China Sea, Fujian coast, and central eastern Guangdong coast. Among them, the wind force in the eastern waters of Bashi Strait and northeastern South China Sea will be 9-11 levels, and some areas can reach 12-13 levels. The wind force in the nearby sea areas passing through the center of "Sula" will be 14-17 levels and gusts of 17 levels or above.
In terms of rainfall, affected by "Sura", from 14:00 on August 30 to 14:00 on August 31, some areas in central and eastern Fujian had heavy to rainstorm, local heavy rainstorm.
"Sea anemone" will move towards the northwest direction
