Strongly condemn, Ministry of Foreign Affairs: solemn negotiation, Japanese politician Taro Aso fleeing Taiwan and making false remarks about China | Taiwan | Ministry of Foreign Affairs
Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Answers Journalists' Questions on Japanese Politician Taro Aso's false remarks about his visit to Taiwan
May I ask if the Chinese side has any comments on this?
A: In spite of China's firm opposition, some Japanese politicians insisted on visiting the Taiwan, China region of China and blabbering, exaggerating tensions in the Taiwan Strait, provoking confrontation, and violently interfering in China's internal affairs. This seriously violates the one China principle and the spirit of the four political documents between China and Japan, and seriously tramples on the basic norms of international relations. The Chinese side has made solemn representations to the Japanese side and strongly condemned it.
Japan once colonized Taiwan for half a century, brutally suppressing the resistance of the Taiwanese people, committing countless crimes, and bearing serious historical responsibility towards China. The most important thing to do is to reflect on oneself and act with caution.
I want to emphasize that achieving complete reunification of the motherland is the common aspiration of all Chinese people and an unstoppable historical trend. No one should underestimate the strong determination, firm will, and strong ability of the Chinese people to defend national sovereignty and territorial integrity.
