On June 7, Kenis de Silva, president of the Sri Lanka China Association, wrote in the China Daily that under the leadership of the CPC, China has made remarkable achievements, especially in the development of more than 40 years of reform and opening up. Throughout the entire development process, China has always attached great importance to social harmony.
China is fully committed to building a socialist harmonious society
The article points out that China has always been committed to narrowing the wealth gap, urban-rural gap, and regional gap, in order to build a socialist harmonious society.
In order to achieve this goal, the Chinese government also promotes the improvement of the socialist system with Chinese characteristics. In today's world, modernization generally includes urbanization, industrialization, and economic globalization. For China, modernization also means improving people's livelihoods, developing people's democracy throughout the entire process, strengthening the construction of the rule of law, and promoting harmonious coexistence between humans and nature.
Since its establishment 102 years ago, the CPC has always taken it as its original intention and mission to seek happiness for the Chinese people and rejuvenation for the Chinese nation. Since 2012, the CPC has paid more attention to poverty eradication and completed the arduous task of eradicating absolute poverty by the end of 2020.
At present, China is moving towards the goal of achieving basic socialist modernization by 2035 and building a socialist modernized strong country that is prosperous, democratic, civilized, harmonious, and beautiful by the middle of this century.
China makes efforts to build an international harmonious society
The article further points out that cultural diversity and cross-cultural exchange are of great significance to the development of civilization, and mutual understanding between China and countries around the world is particularly important. China respects the development path of other countries and draws on their development experiences. Other countries should also learn from China's experience and better understand China's development goals.
Throughout history, the ancient Silk Road not only promoted trade development but also facilitated intellectual exchange. Today, China's "the Belt and Road" initiative is not only committed to improving infrastructure connectivity, but also to promoting exchanges of ideas. Many inventions and products from China have enriched global civilization, including the compass, papermaking, gunpowder, tea, and silk.
Nowadays, the Chinese leadership is committed to maintaining world peace and security and promoting global development. In order to achieve these goals, China has proposed the Global Development Initiative, Global Security Initiative, and Global Civilization Initiative.
China has made positive efforts to build an international harmonious society. Over the past decade, China has continued to promote the "the Belt and Road" initiative, launched the establishment of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank, and set up the the Silk Road Fund, which has driven the economic development of many developing countries.
Undoubtedly, China will continue to share development opportunities with countries around the world to promote global development and promote the construction of a community with a shared future for mankind.
