Special investigation and rectification of major risks and hidden dangers have been carried out nationwide, including the installation of iron fences on external windows and illegal residents in construction areas
Recently, the special investigation and rectification of major risk hazards have been carried out nationwide. Fire supervisors have conducted inspections on the fire safety status of food processing plants and large commercial complexes in Beijing, Jilin and other places.
Beijing: Outstanding risks and hidden dangers in the decoration area of commercial complexes
During a comprehensive medical examination at a large commercial complex in Beijing, the fire supervisor saw that some parts of the complex were undergoing renovation construction. The renovation construction area was illegally occupied, and there were also a large number of cigarette butts thrown on the ground.
During the inspection by the fire supervisor, it was also found that there were illegal welding and storage of flammable and explosive materials in the decoration area of this commercial complex. In addition, a bed was placed on a safe exit passage between the decoration area and the operating area.
The fire supervisor found on site that the fire separation between the decoration construction area and the operating area did not meet the standards and did not function as a fire separation.
The fire supervisor inspected the operating area of the commercial complex and saw that the merchant's goods were blocking the fire hydrant. The fire supervisor urged the merchants to rectify on the spot and randomly inspected and tested the water pressure of indoor fire hydrants.
During the random inspection, the fire supervisor found that some safety evacuation signs were damaged, and multiple normally closed fire doors were in an open state and could not be closed properly. In addition, the phenomenon of stacking debris in evacuation routes is also quite common in this commercial complex.
Jilin: Iron fences installed outside the production workshop windows hinder evacuation and escape
During an inspection at a food processing plant in Changchun, Jilin, the fire supervisor found that iron fences were installed on the outer windows of the production workshop, and multiple functional areas in the factory area were not properly separated by fire as required. The fire supervisor ordered rectification in accordance with the law.
At a food processing plant in Changchun, Jilin, a fire inspector found that the kitchen and restaurant, as well as the office area and warehouse, were not properly separated by fire as required. The fire supervisor saw during an inspection in the production workshop that the food factory had set up a warehouse in the production workshop, but did not have corresponding fire separation.
The fire supervisor randomly tested the smoke exhaust fan in an evacuation channel and found that the air volume of the smoke exhaust fan did not meet the requirements.
The fire supervisor saw during the inspection that all external windows in the production workshop were equipped with iron fences, which would affect the evacuation of personnel in case of danger.
The fire supervisor urged the person in charge of the food processing plant to immediately remove the iron fence on the outer windows of the production workshop, and to promptly separate the functional areas according to requirements for fire prevention.
