On the 16th local time, the opposition Justice Party of South Korea held a demonstration in front of the Japanese Embassy in South Korea, calling on the international community to jointly oppose the discharge of nuclear contaminated water into the sea, in order to oppose Japan's strong push for the discharge of nuclear contaminated water into the sea.
The leader of the Justice Party, Li Zhenwei, stated that in order to prevent Japan from discharging nuclear contaminated water into the sea, the Justice Party will make greater efforts to take action. At present, the Justice Party is striving to establish a joint network between South Korea and Japan to oppose the discharge of nuclear contaminated water into the sea, hoping to form a greater opposition force. Lee Jung wai also stated that the Justice Party will hold a national action on August 12th to encourage more South Korean citizens to voice their opposition.
In addition, the National Democratic Labor Union of South Korea held a large-scale rally in Seoul on the 15th to oppose Japan's discharge of nuclear contaminated water into the sea, and expressed dissatisfaction with the attitude of the Yoon Seok yeol government on the issue of Fukushima nuclear contaminated water discharge into the sea. Nearly 30000 people from 37 groups in South Korea attended the rally.
