The struggle entered its second round and South Korea was sued by this country.
Which country?
Iran in the Middle East!
Iran is very angry, and the South Koreans are completely untrustworthy, going back and forth. Previously, following the US sanctions against Iran, two South Korean banks froze approximately $7 billion in Iranian oil funds from September 2019 without hesitation.
The reason why it is said to be the second round is that there has been a competition in the first round.
In January 2021, the Iranian Revolutionary Guard dispatched multiple small boats and, after a pursuit, seized a South Korean chemical tanker that was originally traveling from Saudi Arabia to the United Arab Emirates, citing "multiple ocean pollution".
You also understand this reason.
South Korea is very nervous and immediately sent a delegation to Iran for consultations. Three months later, the Korean chemical tanker was released.
The reason for release?
It is said that both sides have reached an agreement on the seizure of funds. South Korea solemnly promises to resolve the issue of frozen funds.
This is entirely Iranian money, not belonging to the United States or South Korea. It is only natural to owe money. Just when Iran believed that the matter had been resolved, little did they know that the South Koreans had played a trick, saying that the final solution would require the consent of the United States.
How could the United States possibly agree?
So the matter entered the second round. A few days ago, Iranian President Sesi submitted a bill to the Iranian parliament, requiring the legislative body to submit the funding dispute with South Korea to international arbitration.
Iranians are probably also in despair. Koreans are too untrustworthy, so there is no other way. We will start legal proceedings and file a lawsuit against South Korea internationally.
What attitude do Koreans have?
According to a report by Yonhap News Agency, the South Korean Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated on August 1st that it will closely monitor relevant developments. If Iran formally resorts to international arbitration, the South Korean side will respond carefully through the International Investment Dispute Response Team.
The so-called South Korean International Investment Dispute Response Group is led by the South Korean Ministry of Justice, with permanent members from the State Adjustment Office, the Ministry of Planning and Finance, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the Ministry of Industry.
That is to say, Iran detains South Korean oil tankers, and South Korea is not afraid; Iran is going to file a lawsuit, and South Korea is also willing to accompany.
Finally, what do you think?
Let's stick to the rough three points.
Firstly, Iran is probably a bit dumbfounded.
The first one was dumbfounded. It was entirely Iran's money, and other countries didn't say anything. However, South Korea came forward and offered its name to the United States, but surprisingly froze it.
The second one is dumbfounded. Although Iran and South Korea have always had good relations, the two countries have reached a consensus that Iran will release oil tankers and South Korea will return the funds. Who would have thought that something unexpected happened halfway.
For Koreans, Iran must look at them differently.
Secondly, I have to admire South Korea for having a set.
You should know that in 2019, Britain provoked Iran and seized an Iranian oil tanker; Iran immediately seized two British oil tankers in color.
In the end, Britain could only accept it and obediently released Iranian ships.
Who knows, South Korea is a generous person. Even if Iran seizes South Korean oil tankers, South Korea has the ability to persuade Iran to voluntarily release people and ships, and on the other hand, it is delaying the release of Iranian funds.
Confused Iranians and made Americans feel very good, South Korea still has a set of tricks.
As for the lawsuit, do you really win against South Korea in Iran?
Thirdly, the wicked have their own way of grinding.
Telling South Korea internationally, after all, is only the second round of the struggle. Who can guarantee that Iran is really eager and won't come up with a third or fourth strategy?
In this world, being smart is definitely not being smart. We have seen too much about lifting stones and smashing our own feet.
Of course, having a thick skin is still important. After all, as the old saying goes, those who are horizontal are afraid of being stunned, those who are stunned are afraid of not dying, and those who are not... Iran probably looks big when it sees Koreans.
But when you come out to mess around, you always have to pay it back. Evil people have their own ways of grinding.
