The 15th meeting of BRICS leaders was held in South Africa from August 22nd to 24th. The BRICS Summit has provided a platform for multi-party cooperation, and Chinese enterprises actively respond to the needs and serve exchanges and cooperation between countries.
In 2017, the De Ah wind power project constructed by China National Energy Group Longyuan Power South Africa Company was officially put into operation, with a total installed capacity of 244500 kilowatts. This project is China's first wind power project in Africa that integrates investment, construction, and operation. Since its commissioning, the annual power generation has reached 760 million kilowatt hours, providing stable power to 300000 local households.
With the operation of the project, Longyuan has launched a scholarship program in South Africa, purchasing professional medical buses and providing free basic medical services, actively fulfilling social responsibilities, achieving both social and economic benefits, and demonstrating the responsibility of Chinese enterprises.
