Song Tao said that General Secretary Xi Jinping attaches great importance to the Straits Forum and specially sent a congratulatory letter to clarify that "the country is good, the nation is good, and the compatriots on both sides of the strait will be good." The policy propositions of integrating development in various fields and benefiting Taiwan compatriots fully reflect the deep concern and care for the broad masses of Taiwan compatriots. We must thoroughly study and implement the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping's congratulatory letter, vigorously promote cross-strait exchanges, cooperation, and integrated development, and wholeheartedly do practical things for Taiwan compatriots to solve problems. We are willing to strengthen exchanges and mutual trust with the Chinese Kuomintang on the common political basis of adhering to the "92 Consensus" and opposing "Taiwan independence", promote the peaceful development of cross-strait relations, and advance the process of reunification of the motherland.
Xia Liyan said: adhering to the "1992 consensus" and opposing "Taiwan independence" is the consistent position of the Chinese Kuomintang, and hopes that the two parties will continue to strengthen cooperation on the existing political basis, so that the positive benefits of cross-strait exchanges can benefit more grass-roots people, jointly promote the sound development of cross-strait relations, and maintain peace and stability in the Taiwan Strait.
