This criminal gang led by Wang invites fans to join various "fan groups" and "support groups" by fabricating celebrity and celebrity identities, from "joining the group" to "live interaction" to adding WeChat "private chat", gradually inducing victims to establish emotional connections with the "star", and then demanding money for various reasons such as "investment, public welfare, support, love". Other gang members are mainly responsible for recruiting and maintaining "fans". They select those attracted by "star idols" and draw them into the so-called "star private fan group". Then the gang members plus WeChat will exchange feelings with the victims as "stars", and sometimes send some "small gifts", such as red wine, perfume, etc. in return. After the victim puts down their guard and believes it to be true, the criminal gang switches to the traditional "pig killing plate" model and implements targeted fraud.
