CCTV News: North China and Northeast China continue to promote post disaster reconstruction, striving to restore normal production and living order in the disaster areas as soon as possible.
On August 27th, the post disaster reconstruction project in Fangshan District, Beijing began construction, with the first batch of 20 projects with a total investment of 4.5 billion yuan, involving residential housing, water conservancy facilities, transportation facilities, municipal facilities, and other fields.

The roads in 97 administrative villages in Laishui County, Hebei Province, which were interrupted due to the disaster, have been fully restored. In addition, in response to a large number of damaged self owned wells, the water conservancy department of Laishui County has intensified the installation of water purification facilities to ensure the safety of drinking water for nearly 80000 affected villagers.
More than a thousand party members and cadres were recently transferred from Harbin, Heilongjiang and other areas to form 240 working groups to carry out post disaster reconstruction and assistance work in the disaster stricken villages of Wuchang.

The repair work of damaged roads in Fuyu, Jilin has been basically completed and is gradually resuming traffic. Four centralized drainage points have been set up in the flooded farmland in the local area, and nearly a hundred large-scale drainage equipment are accelerating drainage. It is expected to complete the water accumulation and drainage work in early September. In Shulan, the post disaster housing reconstruction and repair work is being carried out urgently. Currently, 107 households have been rebuilt and 213 households have been repaired. Jilin City has also dispatched 10 districts and counties to provide targeted support to 18 villages in 3 townships severely affected by the disaster in Shulan.
