Wang Xuefeng was born in November 1954 and was born in Yongnian, Hebei. He has been working in Hebei for a long time and has held positions such as Deputy Secretary of the Discipline Inspection Commission, Director of the Supervision Department, and Director of the Provincial Bureau of Corruption Prevention. In 2010, he was appointed as Secretary of the Tangshan Municipal Party Committee and transferred to the Provincial People's Congress in 2013.
In January 2023, Wang Xuefeng was investigated and on July 6th, he was expelled from the party.
The report states that Wang Xuefeng has lost his ideals and beliefs, abandoned his original mission, disregarded the spirit of the central eight point regulations, illegally accepted other people's travel activity arrangements, visited private clubs for banquets, and borrowed vehicles from management service recipients for a long time; Without organizational principles, engaging in vote solicitation and bribery, buying and selling officials on a large scale, seriously damaging the local political ecology, failing to truthfully explain issues during organizational conversations, failing to report personal matters in accordance with regulations, and falsifying information in cadre recruitment to seek benefits for relatives; Accepting large gift money; Without any awareness of discipline and law, using public power as a tool for personal gain, engaging in power and money transactions, using the convenience of their positions to seek benefits for others in terms of promotion, job adjustment, enterprise operation, etc., and illegally accepting huge amounts of property.
It is worth noting that in recent years, officials from Hebei Provincial People's Congress, Provincial Discipline Inspection, Tangshan City and other systems where Wang Xuefeng has worked have all been demoted.
During Wang Xuefeng's tenure as Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of the Hebei Provincial People's Congress, two colleagues in the leadership team of the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Congress were successively demoted. In April and December 2017, Yang Chongyong and Zhang Jiehui were investigated successively, with the two individuals receiving bribes totaling over 206 million yuan and 127 million yuan, respectively. After Wang Xuefeng retired, he also had two "old colleagues" from the Standing Committee of the Hebei Provincial People's Congress fall from grace, namely Song Taiping, who served as deputy director from 2012 to 2018, and Xie Jilai, who served as deputy director from 2011 to 2017. Song Taiping and Xie Jilai were both accused of selling officials and titles.
In terms of disciplinary inspection in Hebei Province, in July 2021, Ma Yuchan, former deputy secretary of the Hebei Provincial Commission for Discipline Inspection, was investigated for serious violations of discipline and law.
On the Tangshan side, Zhang He, who had previously served as the Secretary of the Tangshan Municipal Party Committee, was investigated two years ago. He had held this position from 2002 to 2006 and was already 70 years old when he was dismissed.
