CCTV News: Today, the reporter learned from the Fangshan District Bureau of Culture and Tourism of Beijing that six A-level scenic spots have been reopened in the scenic spots closed due to the extremely heavy rainstorm disaster some time ago. The first batch of A-level scenic spots to be opened include Zhoukoudian National Archaeological Site Park, Longmen Ecological Park, Hancun River Scenic Village, Pofengling, etc.
This morning, the reporter came to the Pofengling Scenic Spot located in Mount Huangshan Village, Zhoukoudian Town. The stones, mud, trees, and other debris that were previously washed down by mountain floods on the road leading to the scenic area have been cleared, and the damaged road surface has also been repaired. The homestays in the village welcomed the first batch of tourists to stay after the disaster.
Mr. Liu, a tourist: The mud on the road has been cleared, and the facilities destroyed by the river have been repaired. I think the environmental hygiene is still quite good now, and the restoration is still quite good.
Xu Yingli, the person in charge of the operation of Fangshan Pofeng Ridge Scenic Spot: We have carried out comprehensive disinfection and sterilization and desilting, checked and maintained the houses and mountains affected by mountain torrents, carried out multiple rounds of safety tests on water quality, and reported to the relevant government departments for safety inspection and acceptance. After passing the inspection, we will resume business. Next, while opening, we will continue to monitor the safety of the mountain trails and other facilities in the scenic area to ensure that tourists can safely play and stay in the area.
The Fangshan District Bureau of Culture and Tourism stated that it will assist disaster stricken scenic areas in applying for interest free or low interest loans, increase efforts in tourism infrastructure construction, and strengthen the guarantee of flood control capabilities for scenic areas.
