On the first day of the "Han Guang 39 Exercise" in Taiwan on the 24th, an unexpected incident occurred. A 120mm mortar shell exploded at the Keelung ammunition depot of the three branches of the Taiwan Army, located on Xiangfeng Street in Keelung City, causing 9 injuries, including 2 severe injuries.

During the "Han Guang 11 Exercise" on September 7, 1994, when the Taiwanese military fired live fire on a worker bee rocket, one soldier accidentally touched and fired it, resulting in four other soldiers being injured on the spot. Fortunately, after being sent to the hospital, all of them were unharmed.
During the second rehearsal of the "Han Guang 11 Exercise" on September 27, 1994, the Taiwanese Navy's cruiser "Success" accidentally shot down a civilian Golden Eagle aircraft while firing, resulting in the unfortunate death of four crew members.

During the "Hanguang 22 Exercise" on July 20, 2006, a missile accidentally fell on the sea hundreds of meters in front of the viewing platform of the then Taiwan leader Chen Shui-bian. Fortunately, there were no casualties.
During the "Han Guang 23 Exercise" on May 11, 2007, an aerial military F-5F fighter jet crashed in the Hukou Camp, causing 4 deaths and 9 injuries, making it the deadliest accident.
After the "Han Guang 23 Exercise" ended on May 23, 2007, a red phosphorus bomb was accidentally dropped on Jinshalun Beach in Checheng, Pingtung, injuring three local residents who were catching crabs.
After the "Han Guang 26 Exercise" ended on April 12, 2010, a soldier fell into the sea and went missing. It was later discovered that the same ship's officers had falsely claimed that all personnel were present, and the Taiwan supervisory department corrected the situation afterwards.
On August 16, 2016, during the "Han Guang 32 Exercise", a CM-11 tank crashed into a river, causing 3 deaths and 1 serious injury.
During the "Han Guang 32 Exercise" on August 22, 2016, the Hummer vehicle of the 8th Army Corps of the Taiwan Army overturned a slope. Fortunately, no one was killed, only injured.
On May 18, 2018, during the "Han Guang 34 Exercise", a paratrooper jumped out of a transport plane and the main and auxiliary parachutes did not fully open, causing him to fall from a height of nearly 400 meters and be seriously injured and sent to the hospital for paralysis.
On June 4, 2018, during the "Han Guang 34 Exercise", a military F-16 fighter jet crashed at New Taipei Ruifang. The body of the pilot was found afterwards, resulting in one death.

On August 31, 2021, during the "Han Guang 37 Exercise", an F-16V 6829 twin cockpit fighter jet was suspected to have been affected by heavy rain. When landing on the runway of Pingtung Airport, it suddenly rushed out of the runway and plunged its nose into the soil. Fortunately, no pilot was injured.
On July 24, 2023, during the "Han Guang 39 Exercise", a 120mm mortar shell exploded for unknown reasons while a soldier was conducting ammunition technical inspections, resulting in 9 injuries and 2 serious injuries.
