Sichuan Provincial Education Examination Institute builds an exchange platform to assist in filling out college entrance examination preferences and enrolling students
From June 24th to 25th, the 2023 Sichuan Province General College Enrollment Consultation Conference was held simultaneously at Chengdu University of Technology, Southwest University of Science and Technology of Mianyang City, Southwest Petroleum University of Nanchong City, and Sichuan University of Light Industry and Chemical Technology of Yibin City. More than 400 "Double First Class" construction universities and enrollment leaders of ordinary undergraduate and vocational colleges both inside and outside the province answered questions and clarified doubts for candidates and parents on site.
This consultation meeting is a public welfare event jointly organized by the Sichuan Provincial Education Examination Institute and the "Cloud Recruitment" platform created by the Sichuan Provincial Enrollment Examination Guidance Center, in collaboration with the Chengdu Education Examination Institute, Mianyang Education Examination Institute, Nanchong Education Examination Institute, and Yibin Education Examination Institute. Candidates can book electronic tickets in advance through the internet based on their admission ticket information.
The consultation was attended by well-known universities such as Tsinghua University and Peking University, as well as industry-specific universities such as Beihang University and China University of Political Science and Law, as well as Hong Kong and Macau universities such as the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, the Chinese University of Hong Kong, and the University of Macau, as well as Sino foreign joint universities such as Xi'an Jiaotong Liverpool University and the University of Nottingham Ningbo, meeting the application needs of different types of candidates.
At the consultation meeting, admissions teachers from various universities answered inquiries from candidates and parents regarding previous admission data, school characteristics, major characteristics, and 2023 enrollment policies, and distributed application materials to help candidates better understand the school and major.
The consultation meeting also organized the business department of Sichuan Provincial Education Examination Institute and the business backbone of Sichuan Provincial Enrollment and Examination Guidance Center to provide recruitment policy consulting services for candidates. Through the use of independently developed "Sichuan Province College Entrance Examination Volunteer Filling Assistance System" and other technical means, the staff explained various aspects of the college entrance examination, such as diverse admission paths, parallel volunteer filling skills, volunteer design ideas, and the usage methods of the "College Entrance Examination Guidelines" and the 2023 Enrollment Plan Collection.
"I have a strong desire for Sun Yat sen University and Nanjing University in my heart. Today, I came specifically to consult with the admissions officers of these two universities about some related questions. Their answers were very helpful for my future volunteer application, much more useful than searching for information online." said a candidate from Yibin No.1 Middle School.
"After receiving my grades on June 23rd, I fell into confusion. Today, through the introduction of admission teachers from various universities, I had a clearer intention and plan for my college entrance examination," said Xiao Xie, a candidate at Chengdu Shishi Middle School.
