Shocking! The Webb telescope captured a new photo of Saturn. New photo | Telescope | Saturn
On June 30th, NASA released a photo of Saturn taken by the James Webb Space Telescope. This photo was taken by the near-infrared camera of the Webb telescope on June 25th, captivating astronomers.
In the text description of the photo, the researchers said, "At this infrared wavelength observed by the telescope, Saturn itself appears very dark because methane gas almost absorbs all the sunlight that falls on the atmosphere. However, the ice ring remains relatively bright. This makes Saturn look unusual in the new photo."
The new photo also captured three moons of Saturn - Enceladus, Titan, and Titan.
Astronomers are particularly interested in Enceladus. There is an ocean of liquid water beneath the ice shell of this Saturn satellite. NASA's Cassini probe discovered in 2005 that a geyser near the South Pole of Enceladus would eject water into space. This phenomenon was subsequently observed by the Webb telescope.

Luppy diving into the deep sea: It's so beautiful!
Love's help p: In fact, the so-called "seeing" of a space telescope is different from general cognition. It is not like using a telescope to directly see optical images. The beautiful star maps we see are mostly images after the depth ps.
