CCTV News: Starting from July 16th, in order to prevent the possible impact of Typhoon Tai Li, various districts and departments in Shenzhen, Guangdong Province have responded in advance, strengthening inspections and patrols of low-lying areas, slopes, rivers and other key areas, and making every effort to do a good job in defense.
A shopping mall located in Longhua District is a key monitoring area for flood prevention due to its low terrain. On the morning of July 16th, the reporter saw at the scene that staff were assembling a 1.2-meter-high water barrier in front of the mall door. There were no hanging objects outside the mall building, and the glass windows were closed. The mall also stored flood prevention materials such as sandbags and raincoats.

On the west side of Panlong Mountain Villa on Panshan Road in Luohu District, staff from Liantang Street are conducting inspections on the slope here.
At the Huanggang Wharf section of Shenzhen River, staff from the water department are conducting pre typhoon inspections. Before the typhoon arrives, all ships on the river must return to the port for refuge and undergo reinforcement treatment, and all projects along the river must be suspended.

At present, the three defense departments in Shenzhen have launched 24-hour duty, and the Shenzhen Emergency Management Monitoring and Warning Command Center has connected information data from multiple departments such as water, transportation, and meteorology. When a dangerous situation occurs, the three defense departments will respond as soon as possible and dispatch rescue forces for disposal.
Huang Ziying, a staff member of the Shenzhen Flood, Drought, and Wind Prevention Command Office: The Three Prevention Office has organized 41000 three prevention responsible persons in the city to conduct inspections on key protected objects, reservoirs, and rivers in accordance with the requirements of the eight "re inspections" for disaster prevention and control. All 11 coastal scenic spots and bathhouses have been closed, and a total of 1651 fishing boats have returned to the port for shelter. All fishing crew members have returned to the port to seek refuge.
