"I'm not stealing, I'm borrowing!"
"Borrow it? Who did you borrow it from?"

Bodhisattva is better than 'OK'
Many virtuous men and women often put some cash in the "merit box" inside the temple as incense money when burning incense and praying. However, it was never expected that these incense money would be remembered by unscrupulous thieves.
On July 11th, the Public Security Bureau of Yiyang County, Shangrao City, Jiangxi Province quickly cracked a case of stealing property from a temple's "merit box" and arrested one illegal perpetrator.

On July 8th, the Yiyang County Public Security Bureau received a report from the public that the property inside the "merit box" of Shuangyan Temple in Yiyang County had been stolen multiple times. After receiving the report, the investigating police rushed to the scene as soon as possible to carry out the investigation work.
By conducting investigations and visits around the scene, the investigating police quickly discovered important clues. Recently, a man wearing a black and red T-shirt appeared multiple times in the temple and repeatedly examined the "merit box" placed inside, his movements were very suspicious.
After investigation, it was found that the man was a nearby villager named Ye. After obtaining the clue, the police quickly identified the man and successfully captured him at his home.

"I only went to 'borrow' after worshipping the Bodhisattva," Ye retorted to the police's inquiry, "I told the Bodhisattva I would repay it, and she even compared it to me with a 'OK'."
According to Ye's account, he usually goes to the pond around the temple to wash clothes, but over time, he realizes that the "merit box" is usually unattended and not locked. In early June, due to financial constraints, Ye took some money from the "merit box" while there was no one around.
After just taking the money for a while, Ye was still worried, but no one reported it to the police. Afterwards, Ye, who tasted the sweetness, would go to see the "merit box" whenever he had time.

At present, the perpetrator Ye has been administratively detained for 12 days by the public security organs on suspicion of stealing property from others.
