In 1999, Zheng Min was transferred to Miquan City and held various positions including Deputy Secretary and Secretary of the Youth League Committee of Miquan City.
In 2002, Zheng Min was appointed as the Deputy Secretary of the Changji Prefecture Youth League Committee, and in 2005, he was appointed as the Secretary of the Changji Prefecture Youth League Committee.
In 2009, Zheng Min was appointed as the Deputy Secretary of the Qitai County Committee in Changji Prefecture. In 2019, Zheng Min was appointed as a member of the Standing Committee and Deputy Commander of the Kunyu Municipal Party Committee of the 14th Division. He later served as a member of the Standing Committee of the Kunyu Municipal Party Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Kunyu Municipal Government Party Group, Deputy Mayor, and Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the 14th Division. In 2021, he was appointed as the Commander of the 14th Division and the Mayor of Kunyu City.
