Shameful person is me, Americans who don't want to believe in Biden Economics: Let him deceive Biden twice | President | America
On July 20th, the website of the American Institute of Enterprise Research published an article titled "Americans Don't Believe Biden Economics - Because They Have Heard Such Lies Before", written by Matt Weidinger, a senior researcher at the American Institute of Enterprise Research. The article excerpt is as follows:
President Biden is desperately promoting "Biden economics" to Americans, but they are not buying it.
Recent opinion polls show that the majority of Americans do not recognize Biden's overall job performance over the past two years. During this stage of the presidency, only former President Jimmy Carter had an overall lower approval rating than Biden.
Despite Biden's recent claim of record breaking job creation, his unpopularity still persists. He said that Bidennomics has brought tangible benefits to Americans, and the US economy has created over 13 million new jobs.
But the number of jobs that disappeared during the pandemic has also set a record, and the president's boasting about new jobs only indicates that he is trying to attribute the revival of these jobs to himself.
No one will appreciate sweet words.
At the same time, the high inflation rate stimulated by Biden's $1.9 trillion US bailout plan continues to bring real economic pain to all households.
The Wall Street Journal recently focused on reporting data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics. These data show that "the most severe inflation in 40 years" led to a 3.16% decrease in real income for ordinary workers during Biden's presidency. This is definitely not conducive to the promotion of Biden Economics.
But another factor may also prevent the president from successfully promoting "Biden economics": he has previously promoted questionable claims about job creation.
Americans with better memory should still remember that the Obama Biden administration predicted that its 2009 massive economic stimulus bill would create a large number of new jobs, but their predictions did not come true.
In fact, the "recovery plan" created 6.7 million fewer jobs than predicted by the Obama Biden administration in a 2009 report, co authored by Biden's new chairman of the Council of Economic Advisers, Jared Bernstein.
In the first few years of the Obama Biden administration, every monthly employment data release exposed this lie.
More than a decade ago, as Vice President, Biden made many promises to create jobs and other aspects, which are almost identical to the promises he made as President later on.
Recalling the promises that this president failed to fulfill in the past, Americans may not be willing to believe his current claims about the charm of Biden economics.
As the saying goes, if you lie to me once, the shameful person is you. If you lie to me twice, the shameful person is me.
