SCO Journalist: To Share China's Impression with More People China | Beijing | Journalist
On July 15th, Beijing, People's Daily reported that from July 14th to 15th, the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Youth Summer Camp and "SCO Journalists" series of activities, jointly organized by the SCO Neighborhood and Friendship Cooperation Committee, China News Network, and the People's Government of Heilongjiang Province, were held in Beijing. A total of 18 teenagers from 9 SCO member countries participated.
"What does China look like?" "How should we describe and report on China?" For the teenagers participating in this event, these topics are still unfamiliar. Most "little journalists" are first-time visitors to China. Previously, they only had a rough understanding of China through textbooks and media reports. However, this time, in addition to visiting Beijing as tourists, they also "interviewed" and "reported" on what they saw and felt.

On the 14th, during a news training course organized by China News Agency, "Shanghai Cooperation Little Journalists" carefully studied the skills of news reporting and writing, and put them into practice in the afternoon of the same day. They came to Communication University of China to conduct interviews with overseas students, inquiring about their studies, lives, and future career development in China, and understanding their views on campus life in China.
"This is the most unforgettable day for me in China, and I have gained a deeper understanding of the profession of journalism." Grigory Andreyevich from Russia said, "News reporting can help people from different countries and cultures freely exchange information, ideas, and emotions. The same goes for communication between countries, and we need such a platform for free communication."

On the 15th, "little journalists" from 9 member countries visited places such as the Bird's Nest, Water Cube, Huawei Beijing Research Institute, etc. China's image gradually became full and three-dimensional. The integration of Chinese cultural heritage and modern technology is admirable. After the visit, Ibozoda Dilnoz from Tajikistan eagerly shared his "impression of China".

Samira Imangalyeva from Kazakhstan was deeply attracted by the operation video of Huawei's intelligent manufacturing factory. "Huawei smartphones have good sales in our country. Through this visit, I learned that Huawei not only has its own ICT business, but also has smart cars and some products in smart cities," said Samira Imangalieva.

Mohammad Ayan Mudasir from Pakistan paid attention to the clearly defined types of lanes on Beijing's roads. He said, "The infrastructure provided by the Chinese government to the people is amazing. Both bicycles and pedestrians have their own routes, and bicycles have dedicated parking areas, which are very convenient to use. These facilities are not available in every country."
On the afternoon of July 15th, on the occasion of the successful conclusion of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization's Beijing trip, Zheng Wei, Secretary General of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization's Good Neighborhood and Friendship Cooperation Committee, and Wu Qingcai, Director of the Integrated Media Center of China News Agency and Editor in Chief of China News Network, presented certificates to the "little journalists".

The plan of the "little journalists" is not only to simply record their observations, but many people have expressed their hope that their "SCO story" and "China impression" with their partners can be passed on to more people. "I want to include everything I've experienced here in my report," said Tihya Chandok from India.
