According to USA Today, in the early hours of June 11th local time, at a large neighborhood party held in Syracuse, New York, at least 4 people were shot, 5 were stabbed, and 4 were knocked down by cars. The police said that the city's shooting detection system showed dozens of bullets being fired.
Syracuse police officer Matthew Marinovsky stated that the known 13 victims include 3 males and 10 females, aged between 17 and 25 years old.
Police chief Joe Cecil revealed that although the party in this neighborhood was promoted on social media, it did not obtain a permit, and the street was not officially blocked or supervised by the police at that time. Cecil stated that the cause of the violent incident has not yet been determined, and a "complex" investigation is underway.
