Russian media reports: CIA recruits troops for Ukraine in these countries, Syria | Ukraine | Country
According to the website of the Russian newspaper "Viewpoint" on July 2nd, due to the slow progress of the Ukrainian war, the Central Intelligence Agency of the United States has begun recruiting Kurdish militants for the Ukrainian army in Syria.
According to reports, Russian military and diplomatic sources stationed in Damascus told Russia News Agency that the US is in talks with the Syrian Kurdish armed "People's Protection Forces" and several Arab tribal leaders regarding this matter.
Sources mentioned that at the end of May, a news agency quoted the Russian Foreign Intelligence Agency as saying that the Tanfu base in Syria was used by the United States to train armed militants to carry out terrorist attacks in Russia. According to Turkish media reports, armed elements from the "People's Protection Forces" have been fighting in Türkiye since the spring of 2022. These people have been involved in the war against the extremist organization ISIS since 2014 and have extensive experience. Another Western expert said that there are currently about one or two thousand members of the People's Protection Force in Ukraine.
On April 10th, in Chasovyar, west of Bachmut, Ukrainian soldiers repaired a damaged armored personnel carrier.
It is reported that the United States is actively recruiting foreigners to participate in the Russia-Ukraine conflict. Last summer, it was revealed that the Pentagon was training former Afghan pilots in California before sending them into Ukraine via Poland. These pilots were evacuated from Afghanistan with the US military in August 2021. The reason they must be recruited is that the pilots in the Ukrainian military who are currently proficient in piloting the MiG-29, Su-27, and Su-25 have been almost completely annihilated.

It is reported that since the beginning of the Russia-Ukraine conflict, the Ukrainian army has used foreign soldiers. In April 2022, the Ukrainian Supreme Rada passed a law allowing foreigners to work in the country's intelligence agencies and serve in the military.
Kyril Semyonov, an expert at the Russian International Affairs Council, pointed out that there are currently some individuals in Ukraine who have served in extremist armed groups during the Syrian and Iraqi wars, and some Kurdish armed groups have close relations with Americans, which may indeed appear in Ukraine.
According to reports, recruitment work is also being carried out among pro American militants in Kurdistan, Iraq, in addition to Syria, with a monthly salary of $2000 being highly attractive in the local area.
