Russian Ambassador to Cuba Victor Coronalli recently stated that President Putin has received an invitation from the Cuban side to visit the country. However, it is still too early to discuss the preparations for Putin's visit to Cuba.
According to Reuters on July 3rd, Coronalli told Russia News Agency that Putin has received an invitation from Cuba, but it is unclear how Putin will arrange it. Last November, Cuban President Miguel Diaz Canel visited Russia.
Coronalli stated that since the beginning of this year, Cuba has received 66000 Russian tourists. With the resumption of regular flights to Cuba by Russian airlines, Russia may have 100000 tourists visiting Cuba this year.
According to CCTV News on July 2nd, Air Russia announced on July 1st that after more than a year of grounding in Cuba, Russia has resumed regular flights to Cuba, and flights will be operated by Air Russia's subsidiary, Rosia Airlines. Earlier on the 1st, the first flight took off from Moscow's Sheremetevo International Airport and headed to Baladro, Cuba.
