In the past three days, Russia has used at least three axes.

The first step is to call a halt to the Black Sea Grain Agreement.

A few hours after the explosion of the Crimean Bridge, Russia announced that the Russia Ukraine Black Sea grain export agreement would expire on July 18th, and the Russian side refused to renew it.

Earlier, President Erdogan of Türkiye also said that he had reached a consensus with Putin that the agreement would be extended.

After the bridge was bombed, Russia completely turned the tables.

But Kremlin spokesperson Peskov also made it clear that the expiration of the grain transport agreement is not related to the Crimean Bridge accident.

But is it really okay to announce this time point?

Ukraine is the granary of Europe, and grain is also Ukraine's largest export earnings product. Under the mediation of the United Nations and Türkiye, Russia agreed to export Ukrainian grain and fertilizer, and the United Nations also facilitated the export of Russian grain and fertilizer.

Now, Russia is not doing it anymore.

The second axe launched an air raid on the port of Odessa.

For two consecutive nights, Russia deployed drones and missiles to launch fierce airstrikes on Ukrainian Black Sea ports.

The mayor of Odessa, Truhanov, declared that this was the largest Russian attack on Odessa since the Russia-Ukraine conflict.

Why targeting Odessa?

According to Russia, the target of the attack was Ukraine's military infrastructure, including air bases and ammunition depots. In this cluster attack, "all targets were hit.".

Kremlin spokesperson Peskov also made it clearer that the airstrike on Odessa is retaliation for the bombing of the Crimean Bridge.

The results of the battle were also quite tragic.

The Ukrainian Southern Warfare Command stated that the grain and oil terminals, storage tanks, and loading equipment at the port of Odessa Oblast have been damaged. In addition, one industrial facility and two warehouses in the Odessa area were damaged.

Ukrainian President Zelensky harshly criticized that Russia's recent airstrike was actually intentionally "targeting food trading infrastructure". "Each Russian missile is not only a blow to Ukraine, but also a blow to everyone in the world who wants a normal and safe life."

The third axe poses a threat to the Black Sea vessels.

Russia warns that starting from July 20th, all ships traveling through the Black Sea to Ukrainian ports will be regarded by Russia as potential military cargo carriers.

What does it mean?

These ships will become targets of Russian military strikes.

According to a statement from the Russian Ministry of Defense, due to the suspension of the Black Sea grain export agreement, Russia has revoked its maritime security guarantees for related ships. "Therefore, the countries where these ships are located will also be seen as being on the side of the Kiev regime and involved in the Ukrainian conflict."

The Russian Ministry of Defense has also made it clear: "Some waters in the northwest and southeast of the Black Sea International Waters have been declared temporarily dangerous for navigation."

Of course, don't think Ukraine is just cowardly.

After launching an attack on the Crimean Bridge, the Ukrainian military relentlessly launched airstrikes on a Russian military base in Crimea, causing a Russian ammunition depot to catch fire.

According to media reports, the Russian side evacuated 2000 people and closed a highway. The matter was quickly reported to Putin.

After the airstrike on Odessa, Putin also publicly stated that the reason for suspending the implementation of the Black Sea Agreement was due to the "arrogance and rudeness" of the West. Since the agreement was reached, only Ukrainian food can be exported, while Russia cannot. Russia has continuously extended the agreement, demonstrating a "miracle of patience and tolerance".

Russia is not doing it anymore.

The West must also take practical actions to facilitate the export of grain from Russia, including integrating relevant Russian banks into the SWIFT system.

Thirdly, the next three months are crucial.

Why is it three months?

Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Zakharova made it very clear: the United Nations still has three months to implement the agreement reached with Russia on the export of food and fertilizers.

Three months of progress, Russia can return to the agreement; If there is no progress in three months, then everything will fall apart.

The ball has been kicked back to the United Nations and the West.

As for the explosion of the Crimean Bridge, Russia also has helplessness in anger. It is indeed difficult to prevent all attacks by the Ukrainian army, but fierce retaliation will definitely continue. Anyway, Putin has decided not to go to South Africa, so naturally he will not give up easily.

Three months without good results will be the beginning of a new nightmare.
