Robots and humans fighting and dancing? Revealing the Black Technology at the Closing Ceremony of the Chengdu Universiade | Robotics | Universiade
China Youth Daily, Chengdu, August 8th - Robots occupied the C spot at tonight's closing ceremony of the Chengdu Universiade. Walker X robot rides a balance bike and dances with real people, Panda robot broadcasts the grand closing ceremony to audiences around the world, and a young boy takes over the windmill representing the future
According to Li Chao, the person in charge of the manufacturer of the robot, it is very difficult for the performance technology to achieve a "duel dance" between the robot riding a balance bike and the dancer. The team needs to let the robot learn how to control the balance bike by controlling the center of gravity of the human body, and also make corresponding dance movements.
In order to complete this performance, Li Chao led a technical team of 22 people to tackle multiple technical difficulties, and the short few minutes of performance condensed many core skills. Taking the Walker X robot as an example, it is the world's first robot to be displayed on a balance bike at a global comprehensive sports event, integrating multiple core technologies of humanoid robots such as human-machine interaction, balance control, and multi-sensor fusion positioning.
Li Chao not only felt the vitality of Chengdu's youth, but also felt the booming development of Chengdu's artificial intelligence robot industry. Now, its company has established a subsidiary in Chengdu, conducting related businesses such as artificial intelligence education and intelligent robot industry services. The commercial service robot Cruzr of its company has been implemented and applied, providing services in the restaurant of Chengdu University and interacting with college students who come to dine.
"Technology is the future, and Chengdu is also achieving its dream of humanoid robots." Li Chao believes that Chengdu's artificial intelligence industry will have great potential.
