Returnees Telling the Real Life of Telefraud: More Cruel than "All for One" Online | Fraud | Life
In recent days, the new online fraud themed film "All for One" has hit countless audience pain points, and its box office has exceeded 1 billion. The film is based on tens of thousands of real cases of electronic fraud, revealing a new trend - fraud groups are targeting young people.
With just typing on the keyboard, not only can one earn a considerable income but also have free time. Zhang Xin, a young man from the small town of Haimen District in Nantong, once encountered this kind of "good thing" and almost fell into the "bottom of life". Recently, the reporter met Zhang Xin, who had surrendered and returned home, at the local police station. Nowadays, he works in home textile industry and earns money steadily through his own efforts. But sometimes, he also occasionally remembers the dark days in the scam den.
There are tens of thousands of Chinese people in the seven or eight buildings
Zhang Xin, who lives at Samsung in Haimen, met Gu Sensen, who started his own business in the Golden Triangle, through a friend's introduction. In fact, Gu Sensen is an important leader of telecommunications network fraud criminal groups in the Golden Triangle region. He has gathered a large number of idle individuals in China to carry out telecommunications network fraud against Chinese citizens, with a particularly large amount of money and a particularly negative impact. In August 2022, Gu Sensen and others have been included in the wanted list of the entire network by the Nantong police.
At first, Zhang Xin didn't know Gu Sensen's true identity. "If I had asked a few more questions and kept an eye out, maybe I wouldn't have gone down the path of illegal and criminal activities." Although he vaguely felt that it wasn't a normal job, Zhang Xin couldn't resist the temptation of a high salary and wanted to earn more money. Unexpectedly, he was greeted by a life full of hardships.
Under the arrangement of Gu Sensen and others, Zhang Xin and others took a plane to the Jinmu Cotton Special Zone in Laos. "At first impression, it was very desolate there, with seven or eight tall buildings, which gathered tens of thousands of Chinese people." Zhang Xin recalled that people from different places gathered on different floors, like him from Jiangsu, most of whom were directly managed by Gu Sensen and his accomplices.
Small workers, Dutch officials, and farmers each have their own division of labor
On the second day of arriving at the park, Zhang Xin finally realized that the company mentioned by the other party was actually a fraud group.
The specific division of labor is as follows: low-level workers are responsible for fishing for small fish online and finding big fish; As a front-end image, the beautiful lotus official is tempting to be hooked; Ma Nong is responsible for writing fraud programs 24 hours a day, refreshing the webpage in front of the victim at a speed of seconds, ensuring that the content they see is what the online fraud group wants them to see.
After a big fish with "potential" takes the bait, the greasy "foot picking big man" disguises himself as a beautiful lotus official, gets close to him, establishes a relationship, and then reveals "insider information" to him, using the hook to make a few small profits for the fish. Afterwards, the fraud group leaked the information that "this order must make a lot of money" at the appropriate time - it's okay if you don't have money on hand, but if you provide a large amount of online loans, you can make a profit and repay it. The money given to the doorstep will eventually be lost, even though it is interconnected.
We usually add some women to social networking apps and chat in the name of friends, asking for warmth and caring. Zhang Xin's character is often portrayed as a "social elite", with enviable "successful people" working and living in her social circle. They specifically target single or divorced women and use "long line fishing" to bring them closer to each other. Sometimes, they even use technology to enhance their skills and pretend to face each other through programmed videos.
Stop? Light or electric baton, heavy or chopping hands
Like all newcomers, Zhang Xin went through the onboarding training with everyone. "Our task is similar to the 'pig killing plate' scam, where the scripts, mobile phones, computers, and software platforms used in the scam are provided by the company. The company's' scripts' specialize in researching the 'scripts' applicable to various objects, with nearly 100 common' scripts' in 10 categories."
"I am suffering both physically and mentally, and I know very well that I am unscrupulous in extracting someone else's hard-earned money." Zhang Xin told reporters that the company's hierarchical management is strict, with the boss, director, agent, team leader, financial and logistics personnel, script personnel, and account maintenance personnel... The affairs responsible for each level are clear and fixed, and the chat records are checked every day. The person in charge of the final "cutting plate" of each victim is also the team leader.
There, for more than ten hours of work every day, the team leader behind them kept watching them memorize scripts, fabricate stories, and find targets. I originally came with a lucky heart and an ideal to make a fortune, but I didn't expect to face a group of unreasonable and inhumane bullies.
"I want to stop, but I can't stop, let alone dare not." Zhang Xin said that the price of stopping is to be beaten, ranging from electric batons and leather whips to being locked in a water prison and having my fingers chopped... If I can't hold on and want to go home, I have to pay a large amount of compensation. The depression at that time was a kind of despair for Zhang Xin, with no visible future.
Why can't it run away?
The fence has a barbed power grid and armed security guards keeping an eye on it all day long
Zhang Xin also had the idea of running away, but this idea was quickly dispelled by reality - the park's walls were three or four meters high, surrounded by two layers of barbed power grids, and patrolled by armed personnel 24 hours a day. "Running away is impossible," he said
Young people who are lured may initially resist committing fraud, but after participating for a period of time, especially after tasting the benefits of making quick money, they quickly become immersed in it. Someone once, after completing two orders worth over 3 million yuan for the first time and receiving a commission of over 200000 yuan, gave up the idea of leaving and said, "It's too difficult to resist such temptation."
With the increase of personnel, the management of the company has become increasingly strict. The 24-hour surveillance by armed security guards, the chaotic public security outside the park, and the occasional beating and shouting in his ears have made Zhang Xin extremely afraid.
What did you rely on to return to your country?
100000 yuan to "buy freedom" and earn money is not worth spending
Zhang Xin found a way to contact the original introducer and hoped that he could persuade them to return to China as soon as possible. So Zhang Xin met Gu Sensen again and said, "He and I settled an account, including expenses for food, accommodation, transportation, etc., and said that as long as we paid the fees, we could return to our home country."
Zhang Xin was determined to return to his home country, and after some bargaining, he finally exchanged more than 100000 yuan for his freedom. After returning to China, he immediately surrendered to the public security organs and actively cooperated with their investigation.
Recalling his nightmare like experience at a fraud group, Zhang Xin still has lingering fear. "This place cannot make a fortune at all, even if you earn money, it will be a waste of your life." Zhang Xin wants to use his personal experience to advise those around him that finding a job should be done through formal channels, not always thinking about making quick money easily, and ultimately embark on the path of illegal crime. "The sky won't drop pies, only traps!"
