According to a report by CNN on July 29th local time, a crack may have appeared at the top of a pillar on a roller coaster track at an amusement park in Charlotte, North Carolina, USA. If confirmed, this will be the second crack on this roller coaster to appear within a month.
According to a statement from relevant departments in North Carolina, staff found an additional "welding sign" during a structural integrity inspection of a roller coaster called "Fury 325" inside the amusement park. The staff believes that this may be a crack.
The park stated that this roller coaster will remain closed until maintenance and testing work is completed.
On June 30th local time, a tourist discovered a crack on the top of a pillar of the "Fury 325" roller coaster while filming a video. When the roller coaster passed by, the crack would expand and shrink accordingly, and the roller coaster was subsequently suspended from operation. The park said that all amusement facilities in the park are inspected daily, and the roller coaster with cracks has not caused any casualties.
It is reported that "Fury 325" is claimed to be one of the "tallest and fastest giant roller coasters in North America", with a maximum speed of 150 kilometers per hour and a maximum height of about 100 meters.
