On July 21st, a reporter from Pengpai News found that the updated information in the "School Leaders" section of the official website of Xi'an Jiaotong University shows that Bie Chaohong has been appointed as the Executive Vice President of Xi'an Jiaotong University since July this year.
According to public information, Bi Chaohong, female, Han ethnicity, born in October 1970, holds a graduate degree, a doctoral degree, a professor, and a member of the Communist Party of China. Bie Chaohong has served as the Vice Dean, Party Secretary, Dean, and Director of the Discipline Office of the School of Electrical Engineering at Xi'an Jiaotong University. Appointed as a member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of Xi'an Jiaotong University in May 2019. Appointed as Vice President of Xi'an Jiaotong University in December 2021. Appointed as the Executive Vice President of Xi'an Jiaotong University in July 2023.
In terms of academia, Bi Chaohong has been engaged in fundamental theoretical research and key technology development in power system planning and reliability for a long time. He has achieved a series of research results in complex power system reliability assessment theory and efficient algorithms, power system multi random factor modeling and probability analysis, and has formed key technologies for comprehensive planning of new energy power systems. He has been promoted and applied in multiple power grids and more than 870 new energy stations nationwide.
Biechaohong researched and developed the basic theory of planning, operation and transaction of energy Internet, developed the energy Internet simulation platform, and the achievements were applied to the energy systems of several parks such as the Science and Technology Innovation Port in Western China. A theoretical framework for constructing resilient power grids and resilience has been developed, and extreme event oriented power grid strengthening technology and post disaster rapid recovery technology have been applied in Guangzhou and Zhejiang power grids.
Bie Chaohong presided over the development and implementation of the first international microgrid standard, filling the international gap and earning the IEC 906 award as a result. In the past five years, I have published over 60 academic papers in authoritative academic journals both domestically and internationally, and have been selected as a highly cited scholar in China by Elsevier 2020; Authorized more than 30 invention patents; Lead the development of 2 international standards and 1 industry standard; Hosted more than 10 national level scientific research projects, including the National Key Research and Development Program and the National Natural Science Foundation of China; Received 5 provincial and ministerial level science and technology awards.
Last November, Bie Chaohong was elected as an IEEE FELLOW for her outstanding contributions in the field of power system reliability and resilience.
