Reminder from the Consulate General in Toronto! Chinese citizens can make appointments with peace of mind and be vigilant about the risk of "brushing accounts" | Handling | Applicant | Application | Application Form | Appointment | Consulate General | Visa
Since the beginning of this year, the number of visa applications from the Consulate General in Toronto has continued to increase. The Consulate General has taken measures such as increasing manpower, optimizing processes, accelerating approval and issuance, and increasing number issuance to meet the demand as much as possible. At the same time, some applicants have recently reported to the Consulate General that their personal information has been falsely used due to being misled by certain social media platforms using fake accounts for certification purposes.
As the summer vacation approaches, in order to better meet our needs, we now respond to the visa demands that everyone is concerned about as follows:
01
What should I do if I can't get a visa appointment number?
Answer: The Consulate General attaches great importance to the demand for appointment, and has recently added more than 40000 visa number sources. The next step is to dynamically increase the issuance to ensure sufficient number sources, so everyone can make appointments at any time. There is no need to rush to "grab a number". If you do not need to urgently travel to China in the near future, it is recommended to avoid the current peak of visa application and arrange the application time reasonably.
02
My "more than 10 years" visa will expire next year, and I plan to visit China in December this year. Do I still need to apply for a new visa? How long in advance would be appropriate if it were to be done?
Answer: The "10-year multiple" visa, which everyone is concerned about, has been reinstated for entry since March 15th this year. As long as your visa is within its validity period, it is recommended to continue using it without the need to reapply.
If you have previously applied for a "10 year multiple" visa and have recently changed to a new Canadian regular passport, and plan to travel to China in December, it is recommended to make an appointment for November. Currently, the processing time for regular visa applications at the Consulate General is 4 working days.
03
I originally scheduled a date for August this year, but there was an emergency situation that required me to go to China as soon as possible. I have already purchased a plane ticket to China in two weeks. What should I do?
Answer: If you have humanitarian reasons or need to urgently travel to China for business, technology, culture, or academic exchange and cooperation, you can continue to prepare according to the requirements of the Consulate General's visa "Green Channel" application: visa application form, "Toronto China Visa Center Appointment Green Channel Application Form", necessary proof materials, and ticket purchase proof. Please send an email to: torontocenter@visaforchina.org .
Please note that the email title must be "Emergency Visa+Province of Residence+Applicant's Name+Passport Number". If the email title does not meet the requirements, the application form is incomplete, and supporting materials are missing, the relevant application cannot be processed.

I am usually busy with work and not very good at using a computer. Can I find someone to fill out forms, make appointments, and apply for visas on my behalf?
Answer: Truthfully, completely, and clearly filling out the visa application form for going to China is a prerequisite for applying for a visa. The application form involves personal and family privacy, and it is strongly recommended that applicants fill out the application form on their own. When using someone else to handle it, please make sure to confirm your safety on your own, as there is a high risk of "swiping the number to apply for a visa".
The Consulate General will continue to review and issue visas in accordance with laws and regulations, maintain an environment of "secure appointment and secure application", and effectively ensure the normal exchange and cooperation needs of foreign applicants in the consular area to China. Once a "scalper number reversal" is found, it will be dealt with seriously immediately to prevent interference with the order of visa processing.
The Consulate General will continuously optimize relevant arrangements and provide more convenience for visa applications. Thank you for your understanding and support!
