On August 14th local time, the leaders of Egypt, Jordan, and Palestine held a meeting in the new city of Alaman in northern Egypt, focusing on discussing the latest developments in the Israeli Palestinian situation.
The leaders of the three countries reiterated their support for the legitimate rights and interests of the Palestinian people in a joint statement released after the meeting, stating that the most important task currently facing is to set a clear timetable for ending Israel's occupation of Palestinian territory.
The statement also stated that the leaders of the three countries will continue to work with the international community to restore a "serious and pragmatic" peace process as soon as possible.

Prior to this, with the support of Egyptian President Sisi, a meeting of various political factions in Palestine was held on July 30th in Alman, Egypt. Palestinian President and Chairman of the Palestinian National Liberation Movement, Abbas, chaired the meeting and proposed the establishment of a dialogue committee to achieve internal unity in Palestine.
