"This year marks the 102nd anniversary of the founding of the CPC. In recent years, the CPC has led the country to continue to make many important achievements in economic development, poverty alleviation, combating epidemic diseases, technological progress, environmental protection and other aspects." Recently, Professor Regmi, president of Nepal China Institute of Social Relations and professor of Nepal Tribuwen University, told reporters of China News Agency that he is full of confidence and expectations for high-quality development of bilateral cooperation.
"Many people around the world are familiar with China's economic development situation, and some even know the relevant data very well. Here, I would like to talk about another impressive aspect." Regmi said, "China is one of the global leaders in the field of renewable energy, accounting for over 30% of the world's total renewable energy installed capacity.". "Energy is the fundamental condition for the operation of human society. The Communist Party of China's leadership in this area is beneficial to the world and has effectively implemented its concept of a community with a shared future for mankind."
The Communist Party of Nepal, the Communist Party of Nepal and other left-wing political parties play an important role in the political situation in Nepal. Regmi stated that these political parties have various levels and forms of inter party exchanges with the Communist Party of China, with the aim of exchanging ideas, sharing experiences, and strengthening cooperation. "These parties have similar ideological foundations and goal pursuits with the Communist Party of China, as well as expectations for common development, which dominate their communication and cooperation."
Regmi believes that left-wing political parties in Nepal will particularly draw on the governance experience of the Communist Party of China to provide more ideas and methods for Nepal's economic and social transformation. "Nepal is particularly interested in China's economic reform, modernization, and poverty reduction strategies. For example, promoting international economic and trade cooperation with countries such as China can help Nepal reverse its long-term trade deficit, which is crucial for our long-term development."
The Confucius Institute at Tribuwon University in Nepal was unveiled in August 2022, with Regmi becoming the first Nepalese dean of the institute. "I have a responsibility to build this Confucius Institute into a model for academic and cultural exchange between Nepal and China. I have also attempted to offer Nepali language courses at Chinese universities that match my interests." He believes that communication can eliminate biases and increase consensus, and two-way communication is the foundation for developing long-term relationships.
Speaking of the new achievements made in the cooperation between the two countries, he listed three latest landmark events to the reporter: first, the newly opened Nepal Bokra International Airport welcomed its first international flight on June 21 this year, which belongs to China Sichuan Airlines. Secondly, WeChat Pay has recently been launched in Nepal. Thirdly, the "China Nepal Friendship Dragon Boat Race" recently kicked off in Boklala.
"We are delighted and look forward to the new fruitful results of Nepal China cooperation," said Regmi. The CCP's emphasis on "high-quality development" is of great practical significance. This year marks the tenth anniversary of the "the Belt and Road" initiative. In the future, Nigeria China cooperation should pay special attention to high-quality development.
In Regmi's view, promoting China's investment in Nepal's tourism, manufacturing and other fields, working together to build a cross Himalayan three-dimensional interconnection network, accelerating power transmission infrastructure construction and environmental protection cooperation, and expanding cultural exchanges will be the key directions for high-quality cooperation between the two countries in the future. "Confucius Institutes' teachers and students are at the right time and have no shirking their responsibility. We are willing to do our best in cooperation in various fields to help promote common development and prosperity."
