According to a report from the Intersection News, on July 27th, the fourth meeting of the 14th Standing Committee of the People's Congress of Jiangsu Province concluded. The meeting appointed Zhang Zhong as the deputy director of the Provincial Supervision Commission and decided that Zhang Zhong would act as the acting director of the Provincial Supervision Commission.
According to the public resume, Zhang Zhong, male, Han ethnicity, born in March 1968, a member of the Communist Party of China, holds a university degree and a Master's degree in Business Administration. He is a member of the 20th Central Commission for Discipline Inspection.
Zhang Zhong once served as a member of the Party Committee and Deputy General Manager of Beijing Urban Development Group Co., Ltd; Deputy General Manager of Beijing Capital Development Holdings Co., Ltd; Member of the Party Group and Deputy District Mayor of Dongcheng District Government in Beijing; Deputy Director of the Office Affairs Management Bureau of the Central Organization Department; Inspector and Deputy Director of the Office Affairs Management Bureau of the Central Organization Department; Director of the Office Affairs Management Bureau of the Central Organization Department; Director of the Personnel Bureau and Director of the Office Affairs Management Bureau of the Central Organization Department; Executive Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Organization Department of the Central Committee; Director of the Planning Office for the Construction of Cadre Teams in the Organization Department of the Central Committee and Executive Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Organization Department; Director of the Planning Office for the Construction of Cadre Teams in the Organization Department of the Central Committee; Deputy ministerial level inspection commissioner of the Central Inspection Group and director of the Cadre Team Construction Planning Office of the Central Organization Department.
In November 2019, Zhang Zhong went to work in Jilin, serving as a member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and Secretary of the Provincial Commission for Discipline Inspection. In January of the following year, he was elected as the Director of the Jilin Provincial Supervision Commission, and he went south to take office in July of this year.
On June 26th this year, Zhang Zhong, then a member of the Standing Committee of the Jilin Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Commission for Discipline Inspection, and Director of the Provincial Supervision Commission, also gave a themed party lecture to all cadres of the Provincial Commission for Discipline Inspection, directly dispatched agencies, inspection agencies of the Provincial Party Committee, the Discipline Inspection and Supervision Party Branch of Jilin Agricultural University, and party representatives of retired cadres of the commission.
At the meeting, Zhang Zhong emphasized the need to focus on searching for personalized manifestations of the "Six How to Always" at different levels and fields in Jilin Province, identifying the lesions and targeted treatment, and addressing the problems of a small number of party members and cadres such as "loss of faith, wavering beliefs, and lack of confidence", "unfaithfulness and dishonesty to the party", "irresponsibility and inaction", "humanism", and "serious violations of discipline and law", including individual disciplinary inspection and supervision cadres' disciplinary violations and law enforcement violations, in order to further improve the comprehensive and strict party governance system based on Jilin practice.
On July 21st this year, Zhang Zhong was transferred to serve as a member of the Jiangsu Provincial Party Committee, a standing committee member, and the secretary of the Provincial Commission for Discipline Inspection. Wang Changshong, who previously served as a member of the Standing Committee of the Jiangsu Provincial Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Commission for Discipline Inspection, and Director of the Provincial Supervision Commission, was elected as the Chairman of the Tianjin Municipal Political Consultative Conference in January this year.
