On June 22, local time in Indonesia, the comprehensive testing of the Jakarta Bandung high-speed railway joint debugging and testing showed that the train's operating speed reached 350 kilometers per hour for the first time, marking that the Jakarta Bandung high-speed railway has reached the design speed standard and achieved the phased task goal of joint debugging and testing.
Since the official start of joint debugging and testing of the Yawan high-speed railway on May 22, China Railway International Corporation has led China Railway Beijing Group Co., Ltd. and China Academy of Railway Sciences to jointly carry out step-by-step speed testing. The comprehensive testing of trains has gradually increased from a speed level of 180 kilometers per hour to a design speed of 350 kilometers per hour, fully verifying that the functions, performance, and various system indicators of the Yawan high-speed railway track, power supply, contact network, communication, signal, early warning and monitoring systems have met the design requirements, providing strong support for subsequent operation testing and operation.

The high-speed rail stepwise speed increase test refers to the comprehensive testing of trains running on newly built high-speed railways in accordance with the requirements of the joint debugging and testing outline, gradually increasing the speed until it reaches 110% of the designed speed of the line. Therefore, according to the design standard of the Yawan high-speed railway with a maximum operating speed of 350 kilometers per hour, the maximum detection speed of the comprehensive inspection train will reach 385 kilometers per hour.
In order to prepare for the opening and operation of the Jakarta Bandung high-speed railway, China and Indonesia have been closely cooperating since the end of February this year. The Chinese side has provided professional training for Indonesian students in high-speed railway operation positions such as high-speed train drivers, high-speed train mechanics, and operation control center dispatchers, providing talent and technical support for the high-quality opening of the Jakarta Bandung high-speed railway.

The Jakarta Wanzhou high-speed railway connects Jakarta, the capital of Indonesia, with Bandung, the famous tourist city, with a total length of 142.3 kilometers and a maximum operating speed of 350 kilometers per hour. It is a landmark project of the "the Belt and Road" initiative and practical cooperation between China and Indonesia. It is also the first overseas construction project of China's high-speed railway with a whole system, all elements, and all industrial chains. The whole line adopts Chinese technology and Chinese standards.
After the completion of the project, the travel time from Jakarta to Bandung will be shortened from more than 3 hours to 40 minutes, which will greatly improve the local traffic conditions and drive the economic and social development along the line.
