Rare!, Israel's recent exercise, Netanyahu | Iran | Exercise
According to Reuters, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu held a rare cabinet war exercise on June 4th, thereby strengthening the threat of attacking Iran's nuclear facilities.
According to reports, Netanyahu said in the underground command room of the Israeli military headquarters in Tel Aviv, "We are committed to taking action against Iran's nuclear program, against missile attacks on Israel, and the possibility of these fronts uniting."
Netanyahu stated that the possibility of dealing with multiple fronts simultaneously requires the Israeli leadership to "consider, and if possible, anticipate" its major decisions.
Netanyahu's office released a video of the exercise.
The report points out that Israel's propaganda this time seems to be different from the country's strike on an Iraqi nuclear reactor in 1981 and similar offensives in Syria in 2007, all of which were carried out without prior warning.
Earlier on the 4th, Netanyahu sharply criticized the International Atomic Energy Agency for issuing a report last week stating that Iran had provided satisfactory responses to one of the three locations where uranium particles were detected and had reinstalled some monitoring equipment.
In a televised speech, Netanyahu told his cabinet, "Iran is continuing to lie to the International Atomic Energy Agency. Surrendering to Iran's pressure is a stain on the agency." He said that the supervisory agency faces the risk of politicization, which will lose its significance in the Iran issue.
The report stated that the International Atomic Energy Agency refused to comment.
