Ransom amounts to millions, with many regions in Yunnan warning of the dangers of "high paying overseas workers": "piglets" are being resold in Kunming | extortion | high salaries
Many regions in Yunnan are intensively launching a new round of anti fraud propaganda.
On August 21st, the Public Security Bureau of Nanhua County, Chuxiong Prefecture, Yunnan Province, reminded in an open letter that overseas wire fraud and gambling gangs send high paying job postings through the internet to lure domestic citizens into illegally crossing the border to participate in telecommunications fraud and gambling. Once illegally crossed the border, they will be treated as commodities for arbitrary trading, illegally detained by wire fraud and gambling gangs, beaten and injured, and rescue work will be very difficult, and high ransom payments will be required. Please do not believe any border high paying job advertisements, videos, or invitations from friends to illegally cross the border. Online gambling is a trap set by overseas criminal gangs, not only losing money, but also committing illegal activities, and will be subject to legal sanctions.
On August 17th, the Kunming Anti Telecom Network Fraud Center introduced in an open letter that in recent years, there have been frequent cases of telecom fraud committed overseas, and the use of overseas telephones as a means of telecom fraud is particularly prominent. According to statistics from the Kunming Anti Telecom Network Fraud Center, from January to December 2022, the proportion of telecom fraud cases involving overseas numbers in the 00 segment in the city accounted for 21.6% of the total. Since 2023, 14% of the total number of cases involving overseas numbers in the 00 segment of Kunming City have been involved in electronic fraud. In order to effectively curb the high incidence of overseas telephone fraud cases and effectively improve the people's awareness and ability to prevent fraud, we call on the citizens of the city to turn off the overseas telephone function in the absence of overseas business.
The Anti Fraud Center of Yuxi Public Security Bureau previously pointed out in an open letter that most of the criminal dens of telecommunications network fraud are located overseas. In order to organize and recruit more "employees" to engage in "telecommunications fraud" activities in the fraud dens, illegal criminal groups often use false recruitment network information such as "toll free, free meals and accommodation, high salaries" to lure Chinese people into illegally leaving the country.
This open letter reminds that most Chinese citizens who are trapped overseas are organized, transported, and led overseas by domestic illegal immigration groups under the command of overseas snake heads. They are not waiting for legal and formal high paying jobs, but are forcibly arranged by telecommunications and network fraud criminal groups to engage in illegal activities such as telecommunications and network fraud in fraud dens. Their personal freedom is limited, and they must complete high-value fraud tasks every day. Those who cannot complete the tasks can be light eaters, and in severe cases, they may be electrocuted or beaten. If you want to return to your home country, you need to pay a huge amount of compensation and ransom. If you don't pay and can't complete the work task, you will suffer greatly and even face life-threatening consequences.
"The telecommunications network fraud dens outside Yunnan have long been controlled and sheltered by illegal armed forces and criminal groups, and the cross-border law enforcement cooperation channels of public security organs are not smooth. Conducting verification and rescue work overseas is limited, and the personal safety of our citizens abroad is not guaranteed." The Anti Fraud Center of Yuxi Public Security Bureau stated that "there is not gold everywhere" overseas. I hope that citizens and friends will not trust the false advertising of high paying overseas recruitment, nor the sweet words and temptations of overseas personnel, to avoid falling into the trap of overseas "electronic fraud" groups.
The Anti Fraud Center of Luquan County Public Security Bureau in Kunming describes that if someone is assigned to a fraud center and fails to complete their work tasks without paying, they will be like "piglets" being resold, tortured, and even in danger of their lives.
The Anti Fraud Center of Baoshan Public Security Bureau also pointed out in an open letter that in order to organize and recruit more "employees" to engage in "electronic fraud" activities in overseas dens, fraud groups often release false job recruitment information through various channels, including "including travel expenses, food and accommodation, high salaries, and high returns", trying to lure Chinese people to illegally leave the country. Some people are unknowingly lured by "high salaries" and transported by domestic illegal immigration groups to overseas dens under the manipulation and command of overseas gangs and illegal immigration "snake heads".
"Individuals who are sent to fraud dens are usually restricted in their personal freedom by criminals. Under the arrangement of the head of the fraud dens, they are forced to learn fraud skills, engage in fraud activities, and complete high-value fraud tasks." The Anti Fraud Center of Baoshan Public Security Bureau also stated that in cases where the task cannot be completed, they may be lightly deprived of food, and in severe cases, they may be electrocuted or beaten. If you want to return to your home country, you not only need to compensate for travel expenses, illegal immigration fees, accommodation and meals, but also need to pay ransom ranging from tens of thousands to hundreds of thousands or even millions of yuan. Moreover, if you don't pay, you can't complete the fraudulent performance task. At times, you may be resold to other fraudulent dens, and at times, you may suffer torture and even be in danger of your life.
