The police reported that at around 11:00 on the 16th, a group of friends drove two off-road vehicles from Tianjun County to Hala Lake, and then planned to go to Delingha City. From the afternoon of the 16th to the morning of the 17th, the group was in a state of no signal and, upon inquiry, did not arrive at the hotel booked in Delingha City.
After receiving the alarm, the police of Haixi Prefecture immediately deployed rescue operations and instructed the Tianjun County Public Security Bureau, Delingha City Public Security Bureau, and the State Public Security Bureau Police Aviation Detachment to carry out joint search and rescue.
