Putin: "They don't see their soldiers as human beings."
According to today's Russian television website on August 22nd, Russian President Putin stated on the 22nd that Ukrainian authorities do not treat their soldiers as human beings.
According to reports, Putin recently met with the acting leader of the Luhansk People's Republic in the Kremlin and stated that Ukraine is foolishly turning its soldiers into cannon fodder for the Russian army.
He said, "They threw it into our minefield, under our artillery fire, as if they were not their own citizens at all. This is surprising."
Putin continued to comment on Kiev's recent strategies, stating that they did not achieve any significant territorial gains, but caused heavy losses to the Ukrainian military and armored forces.
The report also stated that despite Kiev's optimistic attitude towards its attack in early June in public, according to international media reports, Western officials are increasingly concerned and frustrated about the lackluster results achieved by the Ukrainian military and the loss of heavy tanks and other equipment provided by NATO.
On the 22nd, The New York Times quoted unnamed American and British officials as saying that the planners in Kiev made a mistake by dispersing their attack forces on a long front line instead of concentrating on a single area for attacks.
