Putin: I have a rough idea of his whereabouts. He is wanted by the Russian Commander in Chief | Ukraine | Putin
According to a report on the website of the Russian newspaper "Shimbun" on June 18th, Russian President Putin said that the Commander in Chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Zaluzhne, may currently be outside Ukraine.
According to the report, Russian journalist Zarubin posted a clip of Putin meeting with military journalists on the "Telegraph" social media platform on the 18th. When asked about Zaluzhny's whereabouts by journalist Sladkov, Putin said, "I know, I have a rough idea."
He said that this question can be asked to the Ukrainian military commander himself, "but it is necessary to change to a foreign language for this", "I think others are abroad, but I may make mistakes.".
The report pointed out that the media had previously reported news of Zalu's injury within the day. Former US intelligence officer Scott Ritter speculated on June 5th that Zaluzene was seriously injured in a Russian missile attack near the city of Kherson. The Ukrainian Ministry of Defense has denied this rumor. On the 9th, Ukrainian President Zelensky said he met with Ukrainian military commanders, but Zalu did not appear on the same day. However, Zelensky once posted a photo on the 6th of an emergency meeting held due to the situation at the Kakhovka hydroelectric power station, showing the figure of Zalujine.
On May 30th, the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs announced a wanted arrest for Zaluzhine.
