The article mentions that in the first half of the year, the Guizhou Provincial Commission for Discipline Inspection and Supervision seriously investigated and dealt with a group of corrupt elements, including Zhong Yang, former governor of Qiannan Prefecture, Pi Guihuai, former mayor of Tongren City, Tang Xinglun, former standing committee member of Guiyang Municipal Party Committee, former deputy secretary of the Party Working Committee and former deputy director of the Management Committee of Gui'an New Area, and Ma Changqing, a first level inspector of the Provincial Association for Science and Technology, forming a strong deterrent effect.

According to the public resume, Zhong Yang, a Bouyei woman, who was investigated on April 18 this year, was born in Ji'an, Jiangxi Province in January 1972, started work in July 1994, and joined the CPC in May 1994. Zhong Yang, who has been working in Guiyang for a long time, has served as the county mayor and county party secretary of Xifeng County, the party working committee secretary of Guiyang National Economic and Technological Development Zone, and the party secretary of Huaxi District. In December 2018, Zhong Yang was appointed as the Deputy Governor of Qiannan Prefecture, and later served as a Standing Committee Member and Executive Deputy Governor of Qiannan Prefecture. Starting from March 2021, Zhong Yang was appointed as the Governor of Qiannan Prefecture.
In recent years, including Zhong Yang, three governors of Qiannan Prefecture have been investigated. On January 8, 2020, the 13th meeting of the Standing Committee of the 12th Guizhou Provincial Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) approved the removal of Li Yuecheng from his position as a member of the Standing Committee of the 12th Guizhou Provincial Committee of the CPPCC and the Director of the Agriculture and Rural Committee, and the revocation of his membership as a member of the 12th Guizhou Provincial Committee of the CPPCC.
According to the open resume, Li Yuecheng, male, Miao nationality, was born in October 1957 in Taijiang County, Guizhou Province, joined the CPC in July 1976, and started work in March 1972. Li Yuecheng has been serving as the acting governor of Qiannan Prefecture since November 2006; From February of the following year to September 2011, he served as the Governor of Qiannan Prefecture.
On March 17th last year, Xiang Hongqiong, former director of the Ethnic and Religious Affairs Committee of the Guizhou Provincial Political Consultative Conference, was investigated. According to the open resume, Xiang Hongqiong, female, Miao nationality, was born in November 1958 in Yuqing, Guizhou Province, with a doctoral degree, started work in November 1974, and joined the CPC in July 1982. Xiang Hongqiong served as the Governor of Qiannan Prefecture from February 2012 to September 2016.
Pi Guihuai, former mayor of Tongren City, who was also named along with Zhong Yang, is a Han Chinese born in March 1972 in Yiyang, Hunan. He started working in July 1993. Pi Guihuai was investigated on March 17th this year.
Tang Xinglun, former member of the Standing Committee of the Guiyang Municipal Party Committee, former Deputy Secretary of the Party Working Committee of Gui'an New Area, and former Deputy Director of the Management Committee, male, Han nationality, born in December 1973, is a member of the Communist Party of China, with a graduate degree and a doctoral degree in engineering. Tang Xinglun was investigated on May 25th this year.
Ma Changqing, the first level inspector of Guizhou Association of Science and Technology, male, Hui nationality, was born in November 1963, joined the CPC in September 1986, and started working in July 1985. Ma Changqing, who previously served as the Deputy Mayor of Guiyang City, was investigated on June 6th this year.
