How can a small village with only about 300 permanent residents accommodate over 900 stranded passengers?
Under the leadership of the village party branch, the villagers of Anjiazhuang Village in Mentougou District, Beijing, despite being affected by the disaster, still made every effort to help the stranded personnel of the Z180 train, by giving up their newly renovated houses, taking out the remaining food, and distributing goods from their own supermarkets.
On July 31st, it rained heavily. Train Z180 has been trapped within the area of Anjiazhuang Village, Mentougou District, Beijing for almost a day. At the same time, Liu Xiaoyong, the Secretary of the Party Branch of Anjiazhuang Village, led the vanguard assault team of party members in the village to carry out self rescue, "If the masses have support, party members must charge ahead."
"I just received a notice that nearly a thousand passengers on train Z180 will be temporarily sheltered in the village." Through the railway dedicated line at Anjiazhuang Station, Li Sufang, the director of the village committee, transmitted this situation back to the village. Liu Xiaoyong immediately arranged, "Do everything possible to implement it. First, arrange for someone to greet you, and then notify all party members in the village to have a meeting."
Train conductor Jin Lin of Z180, accompanied by over 900 hungry passengers and dozens of crew members, walked for more than 40 minutes in the wind and rain to the village. "When we meet, it's like seeing family," Jin Lin said.
"We first placed more than 100 elderly people and children in the village committee courtyard, and then more than 350 people in the village auditorium. The training school also placed more than 270 people." Village party member Lv Chao told reporters, "The remaining 200 people can only be arranged in the villagers' homes."

"There are over 100 courtyards in the whole village, and each household is full." Li Chengzhi has more than 50 years of party experience and has placed more than 80 passengers in his newly renovated folk inn. "It's not open to the public yet, not even his family has lived there."

Li Sufang's mother opened a small shop and distributed all the edible goods free of charge. Ms. Huang, a tourist, recalled, "We lived in an old family and felt very secure. The old man also made us Mantou to eat."
When the liquefied gas is used up, we set up a pot to burn firewood in the village committee courtyard, cook porridge and eggs; The firewood is wet, so we set up a four cornered tent to block the rain and set fire to the firewood core... For three days and two nights, the village party branch called out, and Anjiazhuang village party members and the masses selflessly helped stranded passengers.
Due to road congestion, the local party committee, government, and railway departments are also trying their best to mobilize materials. Quickly, the helicopter dropped supplies and several party members from the village drove tricycles back. Liu Xiaoyong said, "The party branch has specifically discussed and also discussed with the villagers, prioritizing the protection of materials for passengers."
At 6pm on August 2nd, more than 900 passengers and crew members safely evacuated from Anjiazhuang Village. Many passengers are reluctant to leave. "Many people want to leave some money to express their gratitude, but the villagers say they don't want anything," said Ms. Fan, a tourist.
