Previously served as the Deputy Mayor of Shenzhen and the Director of the Municipal Public Security Bureau. Liu Guozhou was appointed as the Party Secretary in charge of the Guangdong Provincial Public Security Department
According to the "Responsibilities of Guangdong Public Security Organs" section on the website of the Guangdong Provincial Department of Public Security, Liu Guozhou has been appointed as the head of the Guangdong Provincial Department of Public Security.
Liu Guozhou, male, Han ethnicity, was born in December 1971. He holds a postgraduate degree and a Master's degree in Management, and is a member of the Communist Party of China.
Liu Guozhou worked in Beijing in his early years and served as the Deputy Director of the Beijing Municipal Public Security Bureau. In 2020, he went south to become the Deputy Mayor and Party member of Shenzhen, Guangdong. He also served as the Secretary and Director of the Party Committee of the Municipal Public Security Bureau, replacing Xu Wenhai, who had been transferred to the position of Deputy Governor of Hubei Province and Director of the Provincial Public Security Department.
In June of this year, Wang Zhizhong, who had previously served as the Deputy Governor and Party member of the Guangdong Provincial Government, as well as the Party Secretary and Director of the Provincial Public Security Department, was appointed as the Deputy Minister of Public Security. Later, he also served as the Party Secretary and Director of the Special Service Bureau.
