On August 23rd, according to Hulunbuir Discipline Inspection and Supervision, Liang Jingkun, Deputy General Manager of Inner Mongolia Electric Power Co., Ltd., is suspected of serious violations of discipline and law and is currently undergoing disciplinary review and supervision investigation by the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region Commission for Discipline Inspection and Supervision.
Previously, multiple responsible persons of Inner Mongolia Power Company have been investigated.
On February 16th, the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection announced that Sun Wenbiao, former director and chief accountant of Inner Mongolia Electric Power Co., Ltd., is suspected of serious violations of discipline and law and is currently undergoing disciplinary review and supervision investigation by the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region Commission for Discipline Inspection and Supervision.
After sorting out, it has been found that in recent years, several executives from Inner Mongolia Power Company, where Sun Wenbiao works, including former Chairman Liu Jin, former General Manager Zhang Fusheng, and former Deputy General Manager Wei Zheming, have been investigated, involving former first and second leaders.
On August 13, 2021, Liu Jin, former Party Secretary and Chairman of Inner Mongolia Electric Power Co., Ltd., was investigated.
Liu Jin joined Mengdian Group as the Party Secretary in December 2006. From July 2007 to September 2008, he also served as the General Manager. From September 2008 to January 2013, he served as the Party Secretary and Chairman of Mengdian Group. In January 2013, he became a member of the Standing Committee of the Autonomous Region People's Congress and the Finance and Economics Committee. He retired in March 2015. Liu Jin was nearly 70 years old when he was investigated and had retired for over 6 years.

On August 26, 2020, Zhang Fusheng, former general manager of Inner Mongolia Electric Power Co., Ltd., was investigated.
Zhang Fusheng was transferred to Mengdian Group in 2001 and served as a director, party committee member, and union chairman of the company. In 2004, he was appointed as the deputy general manager of the company, and in 2006, he was appointed as the deputy secretary of the company's party committee. In 2008, he was appointed as the General Manager of Mengdian Group. In 2013, he was appointed as a Standing Committee Member of the Autonomous Region Political Consultative Conference and retired in 2016.
On March 1, 2021, Zhang Fusheng was expelled from the party. According to the announcement, Zhang Fusheng failed to stick to the bottom line in the face of the temptation of interests, accepting gifts and gifts that may affect the fair execution of official duties, treating the state-owned resources in his hands as a "cash cow" for wealth, and seizing huge profits by investing in coal enterprises or establishing multiple companies to engage in profit-making activities in the same industry as his jurisdiction in violation of regulations. He used his power to directly seek profits in the name of registered company cooperation, and worked part-time in enterprises within his jurisdiction for remuneration.
On October 25, 2021, Wei Zheming, former member of the Party Committee and Deputy General Manager of Inner Mongolia Electric Power Co., Ltd., was suspected of serious violations of discipline and law and voluntarily surrendered. He is currently undergoing disciplinary review and supervision investigation. Wei Zheming once served as a member of the Party Committee, Deputy General Manager, and Chief Engineer of Inner Mongolia Electric Power Co., Ltd. He retired in September 2017.
