The European Chamber of Commerce in China recently hosted the Tianjin press conference for the 2023 Business Confidence Survey of the European Chamber of Commerce in China. From February to March this year, the European Chamber of Commerce in China conducted a questionnaire survey on 570 surveyed member companies, resulting in this survey report. A survey shows that over 90% of surveyed companies currently plan to use China as their investment destination, with 59% of surveyed companies considering China as one of the three major investment destinations.
Schlumber stated that there is enormous potential for cooperation between European companies and Chinese partners, "especially in the fields of green, low-carbon, and environmental protection, both sides will continue to strengthen cooperation.".
This year marks the 20th anniversary of the establishment of a comprehensive strategic partnership between China and Europe, and bilateral economic, trade and investment cooperation has maintained a good momentum. In 2022, the total bilateral trade in goods between China and Europe reached 847.3 billion US dollars, a year-on-year increase of 2.4%. In the first half of this year, China Europe freight trains operated 8641 trains and transported 936000 TEUs of goods, an increase of 16% and 30% year-on-year, respectively.
