According to the prosecution materials, Duan Hongnan's parents believe that witnesses and surveillance videos at the time of the incident are sufficient to prove that Duan Hongnan had a serious electric leakage accident in a necessary area of the fish pond where he passed by. Duan Hongnan was electrocuted, sparking under his feet, and died after falling into the water.
Duan Hongnan's parents and his lawyer Zhou Zhaocheng pointed out that the defendant State Grid Jilin Changchun Suburban Power Supply Company, as the owner and operator of the high-voltage line involved in the case, was at fault.
